Gentle, baby-led newborn sessions for parents who want beautiful images without the stress.

From start to finish here is what to expect

After we get you set up with a contract the real fun begins! For newborn sessions you will receive a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family a little better. We will discuss if you would like to borrow from my client closet (I hope you do!) and wardrobe selection for the rest of your family. For all other sessions we will get chatting about choosing our location and family wardrobe planning.

The day of the session will be all about having fun and embracing the stage you are in. We will have lots of time for snuggling, laughing and being with one another. My goal is to make it feel as natural as your everyday interactions. No pressure for perfect homes, perfect babies, or perfect parents. Sessions move at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks.

After the session you will receive a link to your gallery where you can download & print your images. I encourage you to not let your images live on a hard drive! You can purchase prints and more right through your gallery.

Most clients invest with me because they want a calm, experienced photographer they can trust during their baby’s first days.

I booked a session, now what?

Yay! I am so excited to meet and hang out with your family in front of my lens! Depending on the type of session you book will determine the time that we take photos. For outdoor family & maternity all sessions will take place the hour after sunrise or the hour before sunset. This is the only time I shoot so make sure this works for you!

Lifestyle newborn sessions and Fresh 48s take place mid morning in the comfort of your home or hospital.

Do you offer styling help?

Wardrobe is so important when it comes to your photographs! My session fee includes access to my client wardrobe for mom’s and I always encourage clients to select a piece from it for their session. If you live locally to Walnut Creek I am happy to deliver dress selections ahead of time for you to try on.

All dresses worn for photographs are cleaned after every session.

Can extended family join the session?

Sessions are meant for immediate family only (pets always included!) I am happy to include a couple shots if an extended family member tags along but the session will mainly focus on the dynamics of your own family. Exceptions to this are if you have booked an extended family session.

When will we receive our gallery?

All galleries will be delivered within a three week time frame. Password protected galleries are delivered via email and include a download link and print release. You can purchase prints and more directly through your gallery.
